Becca Flanagan
Video Editor
My name is Rebecca Flanagan, I’m a NWRC student who specialises in video editing but I’m currently developing skills in VFX, photography, cinematography, camera and storytelling. I already have skills in graphic design therefore I can navigate Photoshop and other photo editing software with ease since I’ve picked it up as a hobby when I was eleven years old and now that passion has translated to video editing. I already have experience working on a film set with different roles such as a set designer, set dresser, and production assistant and an editor.
I made a short film with the BFI called, “One Night At Wilsons”, where I was the set designer, set dresser and editor for that film in late 2023 and I went on to work on documentaries concerning Irish Identity and the Troubles, I’ve also worked on a Translink ad to market their Y-Link card where I worked within a group where we generated concepts and made our own individual edits. Since then, I was asked by one of my friends from the BFI course to be the Production Assistant and as the editor – As of typing this, I’m still in the process of editing this documentary.
